Through the entrance you enter a spacious hall with a large separate toilet.
On the left side you will enter the cosy living room with sitting area. The living room has a sofa, two armchairs, TV and a fireplace. To the right you will enter the large dining room and spacious open kitchen. In the kitchen is a dining area with six chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped for six persons, complete with a six burner stove, oven, American fridge. The utility room include a washing machine, vacuum cleaner, ironing board / iron and other household equipment. From the kitchen through the patio doors you will enter the terrace to the pool. Wireless/ADSL internet connection.
The villa has three bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. From the living room to the left, there is one bedroom with two single beds. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, sink and bath. This bedroom has a great view of the pool and mountains. Upstairs there is a spacious landing with seating area. Here you can enjoy the view over the city Limoux or read a book. On the right is a bedroom with a double bed with walk in closet and en suite bathroom. The bathroom has a double sink, shower and toilet. From the landing at the left side is another bedroom with en suite bathroom and a double bed . The bathroom has a sink, shower, bath and toilet. This bedroom also has access to a balcony. The house has electric shutters. When you leave the shutters closed in summertime the house stays cool.
The villa has a large private pool with built in Roman stairs. The garden offers plenty of space and complete privacy. There are several seating areas., On warm days one can find some pleasant shady place under the pergola. There is a barbecue. From your sunbed you can enjoy the fantastic views. There is enough parking space on the property for one or two cars. You can walk to the city to buy your bread and do your shopping’s.
Situated in the heart of 'Cathar Country'. Surrounded by the Corbieres mountains. In close proximity to the famous cathar castles of Montsegur, Peyrepertuse and Queribus and close to the Spanish border. Carcassone is the former capital of the Cathars. The impressive Cité houses the largest European medieval city and is a fascinating day trip. Of course there is the fascinating nature for the active holiday seeker (mountain biking, race biking, running, hiking, canoeing, etc). And in the winter skiing in the Pyrenees is an option. Barcelona is a 2-3 hour trip away.
The villa is located in the town Limoux where you can buy some great wines, such as Blanquette de Limoux. Limoux is a nice city to visit. For instance, each year the city organizes a Carnival festival. There are also many interesting sights , such as the Pont -Neuf de Limoux. This is an old bridge that dates from the 18th century. There are also several places in the city which still remains visible from various defences from the fourteenth century. The Basilica of Notre- Dame de Marceille is definitely worth a visit. Limoux is a great village for a wonderful holiday in the Languedoc- Roussillon.
From the garden there are views of several mountains, including the holy mountain Pic de Bugarach . According to "experts" the world would end in 2012 because in that year ended the Mayan calendar . Only with this particular mountain rescue would be found ...
