As you enter the house from the hall, on your right there is a spacious living room with comfortable seating area, large flat screen TV and a beautiful fireplace. The dining area has table and chairs suitable for sitting eight persons. There are two pairs of French doors opening onto the terrace and pool.
To the left of the hall there is a spacious kitchen with gas hob (four burners), electric oven and grill, double sink, dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle, toaster and coffee maker. There are double doors from the kitchen on to the terrace.
There are four double bedrooms, one has its own shower and wash basin. Two of the others have double doors onto the terrace and pool. All bedrooms have double beds, built-in wardrobes and central heating. There are two bathrooms and a separate WC. One bathroom has a double sink, bath and separate shower. Bathroom two has basin, toilet and a large walk in shower. Next to this bathroom is a utility Room with an American style fridge/freezer and a washing machine.
You can stay connected to all your friends with the Free WI-FI internet connection.
There is a well maintained enclosed garden around the house and of course the swimming pool which is very private and not over looked.
The pool is 10m x 5m with Roman steps at one end and diving board at the deep end. There is a covered terrace for dining and a barbeque.
The pool heater will only be turned on at the request of the tenant at the price of € 45,00 (travel costs and turning on and off).
The Villa is situated on the outskirts of the beautiful village of Olonzac which has several restaurants, bars, bakers, butchers, convenience store, post office and more.
Every Tuesday there is a large street market which is extremely popular, where you can wander around or sit at Café de la Poste with coffee and croissant fresh from the bakery across the road. There is also a large supermarket 1.5km from the center.
Just 2km away is the village of Homps on Canal du Midi. Here there are more restaurants, a bar and a useful supermarket which is open seven days a week, late even on Sunday.
Close by there is the Lac du Jouarres where you can go swimming, canoeing, sailing and more. There is also a restaurant where you can take refreshment overlooking the water.
Minerve is a few kilometers away with a most interesting Cathar history and is classified as ‘one of the most beautiful villages in France’. The nearby Gorges of the Cesse and Brian make a memorable impression. There are many bike and hiking trails in this area.
To the west, about 40 mins drive, is the amazing Cite de Carcassonne, a must for any visitor. Drive in the easterly direction for about the same distance and you can visit the cities of Beziers or Narbonne. Here you can find the long sandy beaches of the Mediterranean Sea.
