Villa Arcadia with private pool is just outside the village of Arques, situated on a plot of 2300m². It has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is an internet connection. From the villa you have a magnificent 360° panoramic view over the Corbières and the Pyrenees.

Inside villa Arcadia

The living room, with cosy fireplace and flat screen TV, adjacent to the open kitchen, which is fully furnished with a double oven, microwave and large fridge/freezer. Dishwasher, washing machine and dryer can be found in one of the two utility rooms. Internet acces is available. There are four bedrooms, one bedroom with a double bed (160x200cm) and access to a private bathroom with shower and toilet. Second bedroom with double bed (2x90x200). The other bedrooms have each two single beds. The second bathroom is in the hallway. This bathroom is provided with a bath and shower. In the hallway is also a separate toilet.

Outside villa Arcadia

The garden with driveway and large lawn is completely fenced. You can always sit on one of the four terraces with sun and shade. The pool has a size of 10x3.7 meters and is 1.5 meters deep. Around the pool is a wooden deck. From the pool there is a panoramic and beautiful hills and mountain view. 
In the garden you will find a barbeque. There is ample parking on the site.

Environment villa Arcadia

Situated in the heart of 'Cathar Country'. Surrounded by the Corbieres mountains. In close proximity to the famous cathar castles of Montsegur, Peyrepertuse and Queribus and close to the Spanish border.

In the village (walking distance) you will find a bakery/grocery, bar and a post office.
Ten minutes walk away is the freshwater lake Lac d'Arques. Here you can fish and swim. Around the lake you will find several picnic areas. The hills of the Corbières are a fantastic area for walkers. Arques is situated a 15 minutes drive from the village of Rennes le Chateau. The village is known regarding the book 'Da Vinci Code'. Arques is also close to the village and mountain with the same name “Bugarach”. The hills and mountains are wooded and great for hikers and nature lovers. In Couiza, about a fifteen minutes drive away (or 30 minutes by bike) you will find a large supermarket, organic supermarket, pharmacy and a bakery. On Sunday there is an interesting market in the village of Esperaza, 20 minutes away. In Carcassonne (45 minutes) with the medieval La Cite, you can find plenty of shopping and there is a wide choice of restaurants and cafés. The route over the glorious Pyrenees to Spain (1hr45) is spectacular.   

Suitability: eight people. Smoking is not allowed in this villa. Pets are allowed in consultation with Kuypers Verhuur.
